Escape Studios

Pimping more friends of mine, but well worth the shout,
Escape Studios is the number one place in the UK
if you are interested in getting into computer graphics
and animation. They are a very cool bunch of people,
who also have a cool logo, (ahem, one of my own no less)
and are well respected in their field. Escape now!

Viktig

Some nice work at Viktig.

Identity crysis

Ok, there have been a number of amazingly poor identity rebrands recently, the newest one being for Wacom, (the nice people who allow you to use a plastic pen to use with your computer.)
The execution alone just seems completely amateurish, and can you even imagine what the creative thought would have been behind the new brandmark?! The typography used in the wordmark is already tired, I preferred the original, at least it was distinctive.
If you are wondering, the people responsible, are the same people responsible for the 2012 London olympic logo, yep that's right, Wolff Olins. I have much respect for WO, but I just cannot work out why they have gone so dreadfully wrong. Can anyone shed any light on this, because it's really starting to annoy me!

Le Courage

Stella Artois brings us,'Le Courage' , an odd piece set in '1366'. It is a story about the people of Leuven. Thanks to their courage, Stella Artois is now available to all potential 'wife beaters' ;-)

Made Thought

Excellent work from Made Thought

A great source of identity inspiration - All levels of logo work can be found here, there's alot of American work on there, and some, ahem, UK based work and it's interesting to see the differences in the creative approach to identity creation.

Universal Everything

Matt Pyke's Everything

Kapitaal

A tidy typographic short film by the trio, Ton Meijdam, Thom Snels, Béla Zsigmond (Studio Smack). It is supposed to give us "an impression of the enormous amount of visual stimuli that we are harassed by every day."
