Having been taught by the legendary Phil Baines, and having won a D&AD yellow pencil, David Pearson is now a name synonymous with book design. I myself had bought a few of the 'Great Ideas' series, simply because I loved the cover designs, admittedly one or two were executed by Mr.Baines, nonetheless, you may not be able to tell a book by it's cover, but you can certainly make a buying decision based on one.
