Smile for London: Launch

Winner: Amy Thornley

I managed to get out last night to attend the launch of Smile for London at the Museum of London where by Amy Thornley was announced as overall winner for her piece, 'Spreadsheet Invasion'. 'Smile for London' is an initiative conceptualised by the lovely Jo Kotas & Alex Stevens of the Meme Partnership, and it's aim, to simply brighten the London underground commute with creative motion work.
A good idea for sure, giving good exposure for those involved, inspiring and bringing good creative work to a wider audience, changing moods & perceptions, and hopefully putting smiles on people's faces, and what could be better than that?!
Above are just a few of the entries that I liked, but you can see all the entries here or if you indeed use the London Underground, you can see them from the 17th -28th January. Interesting to note that all the pieces have to, work without sound, which for motion work is normally an integral part. Anyway, enjoy!
