Grip
Just saw this promotional site for Canadian ad agency Grip, which takes a fairly novel in it's approach to it's design, if not stuffed with densely packed content.
Not sure it is the most effective of sites out there, but still, go discover!

Graffiti Analysis
Graffiti Analysis is an extensive ongoing study in the motion of graffiti. Custom software designed for graffiti writers creates visualizations of the often unseen motion involved in the creation of a tag. Motion data is recorded, analyzed and archived in a free and open database, 000000book.com, where writers can share analytical representations of their hand styles. Influential graffitis artist such as SEEN, TWIST, AMAZE, KETONE, JON ONE and KATSU have had their tags motion captured using the Graffiti Analysis software. All tags created in Graffiti Analysis are saved as Graffiti Markup Language (GML) files, a new digital standard used by other popular graffiti applications such as Laser Tag and EyeWriter. Graffiti Analysis 2.0 is an open source project that is available online for free in OSX, Windows and Linux.

Proto
Not always sold on flash portfolio sites created with unnecessary wizzy effects, but Proto's site at least loads fairly quickly and has a few nice transitions, but more to the point has a some good interactive projects to peek at.

Mr Doob: Harmony
If I were to be honest, there are not that many experimental self generating art projects that really appeal to me, but sometimes it is done so well that I can't help but be impressed. Such is the case with the ultra talented Mr Doob (a.k.a Ricardo Cabello) and his latest project, 'Harmony'. It's a lot of fun - the aesthetic is really quite wonderful also. Love it. Try it yourself here.

North Kingdom: New Site
The ever impressive interactive agency North Kingdom have finally seen the light and have opted for a non-flash heavy website in favour of a clean, uncluttered and focused solution.
As they say, less is more and content is king.
