From Us With Love
I was curious enough, and perhaps to my amusement, to stumble upon this exhibition (held at Nordiska Museet, Stockholm) all about the modern day 'Dandy' no less. Anyway, on closer inspection I realise the creative curation was brought about by Swedish design group From Us With Love, who have been involved in a number of other rather interesting projects, which needless to say are very much worth delving into.

SHOWstudio: Joie de Vivre
More motion work, this time a ShowStudio, Gareth Pugh and director Ruth Hogben, have come together to 'encapsulate all the dark glamour, divine decadence and hedonistic joy of the roaring Twenties' to promote Gareth Pugh’s A/W 2010 collection.

Trunk Archive
There have been many a great fashion photographer featured here on The O-L such as Miles Alderidge, Hedi Slimane, Nick Knight, Jenny Van-Sommers, etc. simply because they have been responsible for capturing such amazing fashion imagery, so when Leslie Simitch introduced me to Trunk Archive, I lost a fair amount of my day looking through their entire archive of elite photographers, you'll probably want to do the same!

YSL Collection
Recently I had the opportunity to view part of the incredible collection of art that was owned by the late great, Yves Saint Laurent. Pierre Bergé, YSL's partner, has decided to put the collection up for auction later this month in Paris.
The collection includes paintings by Picasso, Braque, Mondrian, Matisse, Warhol, Goya, Cezanne, and Munch as well as furniture by the likes of Eileen Gray and Jean-Michel Frank. The collection is vast, 730 pieces to be precise, and to give you some idea of it's total worth, one Picasso painting that I saw, had an estimated value of €30,000,000. Ouch.
Back in November Hedi Slimane was invited to do a shoot at YSl's house in Saint Germain. You can see the photos here.

Coco Chanel 125th Anniversary
To celebrate the 125th anniversary of Coco Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld designed a special 5 Euro coin. The coin features both a portrait of Coco Chanel and lots of other trademark graphics of the brand. The 5 Euro coin was chosen, as it is a good match with the Chanel No. 5 fragrance.
The coin comes in a gold version, limited to 99 pieces, with each piece going for 5900 Euros. The silver coin goes for 45 Euro and comes in a run of 11900. The coins will be released on December 1rst.
