From Us With Love

I was curious enough, and perhaps to my amusement, to stumble upon this exhibition (held at Nordiska Museet, Stockholm) all about the modern day 'Dandy' no less. Anyway, on closer inspection I realise the creative curation was brought about by Swedish design group From Us With Love, who have been involved in a number of other rather interesting projects, which needless to say are very much worth delving into.

Sennep and Yoke have developed a Digital Dandelion for the forthcoming exhibition Decode: Digital Design Sensations at the V&A (Opening 8th December). The interactive instalation allows user to blow away the seeds of a 3D Dandelion with an electric hairdryer and includes ambient and adaptive sound.

Lovely!

Dan Funderburgh

NY based wallpaper designer and artist, Dan Funderburgh, launches his new website. His patterns, prints and installations are varied in content but all demonstrate an unabashed love for decorative arts. With influences ranging from 14th century Moorish mosaic to 60's American op art, the work is a repudiation of the fabricated schism between art and decoration. Some of Dan's work can be found in the collections of the Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum and the Miami Museum of Modern Art.

Plasmosis

We are all passionate about our art, and we like to surround ourselves in it, however designer and artist Elios Lino, a.k.a Plasmosis, has gone a step further and turned his own house into a graphic design project. However, the house is now up for sale and the walls will be painted white. If you're in the US this weekend, then the address is 189 Pineview, Irvine, CA 92620!
